Jemma Cahan joined JE Bennett Law in 2020 and was promoted to partner in 2023. Jemma has significant experience working with brain injured clients having qualified as a clinical negligence solicitor in 2008. Jemma previously worked for a leading national firm and specialised in pursuing clinical negligence claims for clients with brain injuries, and those with life changing injuries.
Jemma has a wealth of knowledge of working with vulnerable clients to complement her litigation expertise. She specialises in Court of Protection and deputyship work with particular expertise in managing high value compensation awards on behalf of clients who have sustained a brain injury or otherwise lost capacity to manage their property and affairs. Jemma works closely with clients and their families, case managers, and other professionals involved with the client to ensure their best interests are met. She also has extensive experience of working with personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers where clients cases are still ongoing.
Jemma works to provide the very best service to her clients, whether that might be supporting them with their complex needs or with the day to day or longer term future planning and management of their property and financial affairs.
As a past accredited Litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) Jemma remains an Associate member of APIL.
